Energy Limiting Transformers

A Class 2 energy limiting transformer has an output voltage and current which are limited to meet the requirement for connection to Class 2 circuits as defined in the Electrical Code. In partical terms, the fail-safe capability and impedance protection designed into the transformer allows the use of light weight, unprotected "bell" wiring which is common in applications such as door chimes, buzzers, intercoms, security, thermostats, central vacuum system, low voltage lighting control, remote control, etc.

Rugged all steel design provides excellent heat dissipation and electromagnetic shielding. Fully threaded, steel conduit nipple provides strong positive mounting. Secondary wiring terminals are also available in combination screw/.250 male quick connects. Vacuum varnish impregnated and oven baked to ensure quiet, trouble free operation. Optional mounting accessories for panel box installation. Many models are "North American Approved" by CSA (NRTL) or UL. All models are CSA approved.

Options: FA112 mounting bracket (sold separately) 2.25" x 2.0" x 0.8" c/w K.O. for nipple provides 2.0" panel mounting centres. -Q quick connect male terminals 0.25" in combination with screw terminals. -L secondary leads extending through fibre in place of terminals. -C secondary leads extending through slotted end shell. -F secondary fuse block for Class 2 circuit only.
